How We Measure Our Impact

Measuring our impact is crucial because it helps ensure that young people gain the skills and confidence to resist pressures to misuse substances. Our school-based training program empowers students by building resilience, improving decision-making skills, and equipping them with the knowledge to make informed, safe choices. We assess our success through six key areas:
Girl stood, looking a bit sad and reflective
Two children looking at their mobiles

By measuring these areas, we ensure that our programmes makes a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

Communication

We track improvements in how young people express themselves, listen actively, and discuss their choices with confidence.

Relationships

Understanding peer pressure and bullying is essential. We measure how well students recognise and respond to social challenges while fostering empathy.

Well-Being

Managing emotions helps build resilience. We assess students’ ability to recognise stress, understand its impact, and develop healthy coping strategies.

Self-Efficacy

Good decision-making reduces risk. We evaluate students’ ability to assess consequences and apply critical thinking to avoid substance misuse.

Resilience

Facing challenges with confidence is key. We measure how well students develop resistance strategies and seek support when needed.

Knowledge & Understanding

Informed choices matter. We ensure young people gain accurate, relevant knowledge about drugs, alcohol, and their effects.

How We Evaluate Success

We measure our programme effectiveness through feedback from students, teachers, and parents, assessments, and real-world applications. This data helps us continuously improve all Life Skills Education programmes and ensure young people have the skills that protect and empower them.

By prioritising evaluation, we ensure that our programmes continue to make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.
