Communication
Pupils’ ability to express themselves and communicate effectively.
Life Skills Education applies a structured approach to evaluating the impact of its Drug, Alcohol, and Resilience Training (DAaRT) programme. Evaluation is a core component of programme delivery, used to understand what works, for whom, and under what circumstances. The aim is to ensure that pupils develop the confidence, knowledge, and resilience to make informed choices and resist pressures to misuse substances.
Evaluating impact helps to improve delivery and ensures the programme meets the needs of students, schools, and communities. It also enables the organisation to demonstrate progress against key outcomes such as responsible decision-making, emotional well-being, and resilience.
Pupils’ ability to express themselves and communicate effectively.
Recognition of peer pressure and bullying, and appropriate responses.
Emotional resilience, including stress and emotion management.
Decision-making, risk assessment, and understanding consequences.
Resistance to negative influences and help-seeking behaviour.
Factual understanding of drugs, alcohol, and substance use.
Evaluation draws on feedback from pupils, teachers, and parents, along with assessment data and observed behaviours. Both delivery model and school context are considered. This approach supports continuous learning and improvement across the programme.
