There are many ways to support Life Skills Education’s work, we are always looking for volunteers to help out at events, recruiting trustees as experts to offer advice and guidance in fields such as education, finance, law and information and data technology and of course looking for funding to help us develop our programmes and provide courses for schools in financial hardship. Anton Jurgen Charitable Trust
The Anton Jurgens Charitable Trust supports socially disadvantaged groups and individuals in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Established in 1969, it was named after Anton Jurgens, one of the founders of the multinational company Unilever.
Simon Gibson Charitable Trust
The Simon Gibson Charitable Trust Provides grants to registered charities, with a particular focus on supporting young people, the elderly, heritage and the natural environment.
The Lady Hind Trust
The Lady Hind Trust was established in 1951 by Dame Lilian Francis Hind in her Will. Lady Hind was the wife of the well-known Nottingham solicitor Sir Jesse William Hind (Wells and Hind), who was knighted in 1934 for Public Service in Nottinghamshire.
Foundation Derbyshire
Foundation Derbyshire is a trusted, independent resource for supporters and beneficiaries of local causes.
We are expert in managing donated funds and effectively distributing grants to the county’s grassroots charities and community groups. Special thanks to the Derbyshire High Sherriff and Proceeds of Crime Funds.
The Grace Trust
The Grace Trust operates with practically no overheads as it relies almost entirely on its hardworking volunteers. This means that over 99% of the amounts donated reach the recipients.
The Grace Trust is funded by donations from businesses and individuals mostly who are members of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church and who share the Trust’s vision of providing for others.
The Community Alcohol Partnership
CAP encourages local partnerships to assess leisure activities for young people in their area, to talk to them about what they would like to do and look at ways to increase choice and accessibility.
Most CAPs work closely with existing leisure and sports facilities, using youth clubs, youth buses and local cafés to provide opportunities for young people to drop in and meet in a supervised, safe environment.
The Garfield Weston Foundation
Established in 1958, the Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-maker that gives money to support a wide variety of charities across the UK. The Foundation’s funding comes from an endowment of shares in the Weston family business – a successful model that still exists today. The Weston family have a consistent aim. The more successful the family businesses, the more money the Foundation can donate.
City Bridge Foundation
We award grants of over £30 million a year to charities across the capital which work to tackle inequality and make London a fairer place. We work with our partners to connect charities with each other and the communities they serve, bringing people together and empowering them to access life-changing support.
The National Lottery
Funding raised by National Lottery players for good causes. It’s thanks to them that we give out more than £600 million to charities, community and voluntary groups each year. People use this funding to do extraordinary things, taking the lead to improve their lives and communities. Every time you buy a National Lottery ticket, you help make this happen.
